Do I need a massage?   Do you have pain or stress?  Must of us do to some extent.  Massage is beneficial for almost everyone because it enhances all of the bodies' functions.  It will help to reduce stress, increase endorphins to help manage pain, ease depression and soothe aching muscles.  Massage will help you stay more active and become more active with your increased flexibility and range of motion.  It is an important tool in your handbag of healthier living and is the perfect compliment to most other medical treatments, chiropractic, acupunture, and physical therapy.

Who should not get a massage?  Expectant mothers who are considered "high risk" or have a history of blood clotting.  People who are feeling under the weather should not get or keep an appointment.  Massage can help you get over a "bug" but can also make things much worse if done too soon.  A person with a fever should never get a massage.  People with undiagnosed skin conditions or infectious skin diseases should not be massaged.  If you have questions please call and we can talk about it.  There are times where there might be a local contradiction to massage but you are safe on other areas.

What do I wear?  You can dress as far down as you like or wear what you are not comfortable in taking off.  This is your call.  Your comfort is key during a massage.  You will be comfortably and securely draped during your massage to help preserve your modesty.

Will I be sore after my massage?  You may be sore especially if you are being seen for injury treatment.  Massage pushes the lactic acids out of the muscle belly and if you have not eliminated all of that lactic acid through an increase in clear fluids the day of and after the massage, the lactic acids will settle again causing muscle pain.  You can use ice to help with any residual pain and an over the counter anti inflamatory can be taken.  Make certain you are following packaging indications and directions.

How frequently do I get a massage?   You can receive massage as frequently as you desire.  If you have a referral from your Doctor, they will decide on the frequency.  After an injury it is not uncommon to come 2 - 3 times a week for the first few weeks and then we can work with you on the frequency.  The goal is to get you out of pain as soon as possible and then keep you out of pain.

Do you have Gift Certificates?  Absolutely!  This is the perfect gift to give.  It does not expire and can be redeemed when they want to redeem it.

Do I need an appointment?  Yes you will need an appointment.  I am available during the day, evening, and weekends by appointment only.
